Food Rescue & Nutritional Justice
reviving that "food was local, although we never called it that..." -culture
Food security exists when all people, at all times, have physical and economic access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food to meet their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life.” CREEED’s understanding of food security and personal health emphasizes local, regenerative and culturally appropriate food systems, in recognition that these elements support greater food sovereignty in the face of rising prices and supply disruptions. It also offers healthier food than the industrial food system and puts control back in the hands of farmers, consumers and rural communities themselves.
